Description

A classical stage of the great Alpine road. From Saint Jean de Maurienne, you will cross the 'small' Télégraphe pass, ride through Valloire and finally climb the 'great' Galibier. The last hairpins seem to be on another planet, in an high altitude atmosphere.

The south downhill is also pretty amazing.

Surfacing is quite OK, but, as for all other famous passes, mind the traffic during summer peaks.
