United kingdom is a paradise for riders. As soon as you escape the overcrowded areas of central England, you will find a lot of places that are just waiting for your two wheels. You will just have to pray for sunny weather.
Roads interest
A lot of curvy roads, every time with great scenery. What you just have to do is to go where they are (Scotland, Northern Wales). But you will never be disappointed.
Road surface quality
Changing : it can be very good (England, Wales), or totally destroyed and full of gravel (especially in Scotland), with no other possible way.
Landscapes
Changing, often beatiful and typical. The scottish highlands are like no other, Wales mountains really charming. A lot of hidden treasures.
General atmosphere / safety
Standard, just be a little careful like in other European countries.
Car drivers behaviour
Gentleman driver is a british word, and there is a reason. Civilized, polite, efficient, but without this wish that the others do like them than we could find in other countries (with mountains and purple cows, if you see what I mean). Almost perfect, excepted a little in England, where I met some 'latin-like' horn users.
Speed controls
A lot of speed cameras, but I did not notice any road control.
