3 AM...i have an horrible nightmare, my house is full of water...Thanks god, it was only a dream..oh no, my tent is not waterproof any more and my sleeping bag is totally wet. So I will end the night with feets in a trash bag. Weather is awful, windy and rainy.
There is a little break when I have breakfast, but just when I decide to go, rain starts again, and my tent is full of water when I put it in bags. I feel the day may be long, and that next evening I will test Irish welcome in a Bed and breakfast.
Well, let's even try to visit Conemara. It looks nice, it's so sad there is fog. It's not easy to do pictures in such conditions, here is a try on Kylemore abbey :
...and on the lake facing it.
Hmm, not so easy. I go around Conemara using the main road, and I feel more and more disappointed to not enjoy it, because it really looks enchanting. There is a little break in rainfalls, so I do another picture.
And, miracle, when crossing Galway, weather turns better : it's drizzling instrad of raining. So I can take a pic of Dunguaire Castle.
Weather is still 'nice' after lunch, so I ride up Corkscrew hill...named like the famous Laguna Seca raceway corner !
Problem, on the top, heavy rain is back. The end of the day will be long and difficult. My boots are full of water (sounding floutch floutch when walking), and I even don't talk about my gloves : liters of water are flowing when I'm closing my fist. The only positive thing is that my rain suit is perfect, so my other clothes are totally dry.
I ride along cliffs of Moher, one of the jewels of the Irish coast. But I doubt there is anything to see in such a fog.
Approaching Killarney, I see this charming Bed and breakfast, where I will enjoy the Irish welcome : the woman has even brought my cases in my room...I was a bit ashamed, especially because I left a lot of water in her hall.
So, a few olympics on TV and good night !
